The most important thing I want people to know about me is my relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s not my ferocious temper, wit, charm or intellect – even though I possess all of these. It is my relationship with Christ. Why?
I want others to know God’s ability to save and give abundant life. In spite of your imperfections.
I grew up in church and at one point questioned my salvation. But I never got away from the fact God is real.
Left home went to Detroit and lived a wild and dangerous lifestyle; returned to my hometown of New Orleans, still feeling something was missing. And while channel surfing in the middle of the night, every station I landed on had a message pointing me to a loving God, who would welcome me back.
Made a U-turn back to my beginnings. My old church home. A familiar place but this time not as a spectator on the lookout for any cute girl to talk to, but this time as an eager participant. I had an appetite – a hunger for God. And God is always willing to feed a hungry soul.
I AM a flawed man who tries every day to be the best man I can be to God but I sometimes fail. The good thing about God, He forgives, He ‘s not like people.
As often as possible, I try to point other flawed people like myself to a perfect God.
Loved by God – Saved by Grace
