Never gave up or in. Shaquem Griffin a one-handed football player and was picked in the NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks. The linebacker lost his hand as a child but not his drive to succeed. He is also the first All-American from the University of Central Florida.
Griffin has performed 20 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press using a prosthetic and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds. The fastest time for a linebacker in over a decade according to ESPN.
Shaquem joins his twin brother Shaquil, a cornerback, drafted by the Seahawks last year. I think this is also a first as he joins his twin brother playing in the NFL and for the same team. Amazing!!!!
Griffin is inspiring many of us physically challenged or not; to push to the limit, give all you’ve got but never give up your dreams. We may have to work a little harder or longer but with God all things are possible.
